Vehicle Sales Terms & Conditions

Consumer used-vehicle sales — effective 8 October 2026

Business: Vantis Motor Group Ltd

Address: 112 Roebuck Court, Didcot, Oxfordshire, OX11 8US

Telephone: 07437 989733

Email: sales@vantismotorgroup.co.uk

These Terms apply to consumer purchases of used vehicles from Vantis Motor Group Ltd. They should be read together with the vehicle order/invoice, any written vehicle disclosure, the Deposit, Cancellation & Refund Policy and, where supplied, the separate 3-month / 3,000-mile warranty terms.

1. About These Terms

These Terms govern the sale of used motor vehicles by Vantis Motor Group Ltd ("we", "us", "our") to an individual acting wholly or mainly outside that individual's trade, business, craft or profession ("you", "your").

If any provision of these Terms conflicts with a right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted, the statutory right will take priority.

2. Vehicle Information and Condition

Our vehicles are used vehicles and will show age- and mileage-related wear. We will describe each vehicle with reasonable care and will tell you about material defects of which we are aware before the sale. Photographs, advertisements and mileage figures form part of the sales information but minor clerical errors may be corrected before the contract is concluded.

You are encouraged to inspect and, where appropriate, test drive the vehicle before purchase. An inspection or test drive does not remove or reduce your statutory rights.

3. Price and Payment

The agreed vehicle price will be shown on the order form, invoice or other written sales confirmation. Unless stated otherwise, the price is in pounds sterling and includes any VAT that is properly chargeable.

We accept payment methods agreed with you. Card payment may be accepted for a deposit and for the full purchase price, subject to payment-provider checks, transaction limits, fraud-prevention checks and successful authorisation.

The balance of the vehicle price is due at the point of sale and must be received in cleared funds before the vehicle is released, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

4. Reservation Deposits

We may accept a reservation deposit of between £200 and £500. The exact amount will be agreed before payment is taken and recorded on the receipt, invoice or written sales confirmation.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, a reservation deposit will hold the vehicle for up to 7 calendar days or until the agreed date on which you attend to view the vehicle, if that date is earlier. The deposit is credited in full towards the purchase price if the sale proceeds.

Cancellation and refund of reservation deposits are governed by our separate Deposit, Cancellation & Refund Policy.

We will make the applicable deposit terms available before payment is taken.

5. When the Sale Contract Is Formed

A vehicle advertisement or listing is an invitation to treat and does not by itself create a binding contract. A contract is formed when we accept your order or otherwise confirm the sale to you after the vehicle, price and material terms have been agreed.

Where a contract is concluded entirely by distance means, additional cancellation rights may apply as explained in section 9.

6. Handover and Collection

Unless agreed otherwise, collection will take place from our business premises by appointment. We will agree the expected handover date with you.

Before releasing the vehicle we may require satisfactory identification, cleared payment and any information reasonably required to complete vehicle-registration, fraud-prevention or payment checks.

Risk in the vehicle passes to you on physical handover. Legal title passes when we have received the full purchase price in cleared funds.

7. Insurance, Tax and Driving Away

You are responsible for ensuring that you have valid insurance and any vehicle tax required before driving the vehicle on a public road. We do not represent that your insurance or tax arrangements are in place unless we have expressly confirmed this in writing.

8. Part Exchange

Any part-exchange valuation is subject to inspection and to the information you provide being accurate, including ownership, mileage, condition and finance status. We may revise or withdraw a valuation if the vehicle materially differs from the information provided or if undisclosed finance or other title issues are identified.

You confirm that you are entitled to dispose of any part-exchange vehicle and will tell us about any outstanding finance or third-party interest before the transaction is completed.

9. Distance and Off-Premises Sales

If your contract qualifies as a distance or off-premises contract under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you may have a statutory right to cancel without giving a reason.

For a qualifying sales contract for goods, the normal cancellation period ends 14 days after the day on which you, or a person nominated by you other than the carrier, takes physical possession of the vehicle. We will provide the required pre-contract information and a cancellation form where the Regulations require it.

If you validly cancel a qualifying distance or off-premises sale, the vehicle must be returned or made available for return in accordance with the Regulations. You may be responsible for return costs where the law permits and where those costs were properly disclosed. We may make a lawful deduction for diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the vehicle's nature, characteristics and functioning.

Nothing in this section creates a cancellation right where the law does not provide one.

10. Consumer Rights Act 2015

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights. Where the Consumer Rights Act 2015 applies, the vehicle must be of satisfactory quality, fit for any particular purpose made known to us where the law requires, and as described. For a used vehicle, relevant circumstances can include age, mileage, price, description and defects specifically disclosed before purchase.

Where the vehicle does not conform to the contract, statutory remedies may include the short-term right to reject, repair or replacement, a price reduction or a final right to reject, depending on the circumstances and the applicable legal requirements. The normal statutory time limit for exercising the short-term right to reject is 30 days from the relevant starting point set by law.

11. Additional 3-Month / 3,000-Mile Warranty

Where provided with the vehicle, our separate used-vehicle warranty gives additional contractual protection for three calendar months or 3,000 miles from handover, whichever occurs first, subject to its own covered components, exclusions and claim procedure.

The warranty is additional to, and does not replace or restrict, your statutory rights. A matter excluded from the warranty may still be covered by consumer law.

12. Faults and Repairs

If a fault develops, please contact us promptly with the registration number, current mileage, symptoms and when the issue first appeared. If the vehicle appears unsafe, is overheating, is losing oil pressure or continued driving may cause further damage, stop driving and arrange safe recovery where necessary.

Where you seek a remedy under our additional warranty, please follow the procedure in the warranty document. That procedure does not prevent you from exercising any statutory remedy available to you.

13. Refunds

Any refund will be handled in accordance with applicable law and our Deposit, Cancellation & Refund Policy. Where legislation requires a refund to the original payment method, we will do so unless the consumer has expressly agreed otherwise and the law permits it.

A card refund does not take effect as cash immediately: after we process it, the time taken for the credit to appear can depend on the card issuer or payment network.

14. Payment Security and Fraud Prevention

We may request identification, address verification, cardholder verification or an alternative payment method where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud or to comply with payment-provider requirements. We may decline a card transaction that is not authorised or that fails payment-provider checks.

Customers should contact us promptly if they believe a payment is incorrect or unauthorised. This does not restrict any right to contact a card issuer or exercise rights available under law.

15. Complaints

Please raise complaints with Vantis Motor Group Ltd using 07437 989733 or sales@vantismotorgroup.co.uk. Tell us the vehicle registration, what happened and the outcome you are seeking. We will investigate and provide a reasoned response.

If we cannot resolve the complaint, we will provide information about any alternative dispute resolution route that applies to the dispute at that time. Your right to obtain independent advice or take court action is unaffected.

16. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made or for business losses suffered by a consumer acting outside a business purpose.

17. Personal Information

We may process personal information where reasonably necessary to arrange the sale, take payment, verify identity, complete vehicle documentation, prevent fraud, handle warranty matters and respond to legal or regulatory requirements. Any separate privacy information provided by us also applies.

18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also benefit from mandatory protections and jurisdiction rights applicable where you live.
