Used Vehicle Warranty
This warranty provides additional protection for the listed components of your vehicle. Please read the cover and exclusions and contact us promptly if a fault develops.
Your statutory rights are not affected by this warranty. You may have rights against us under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 even if a fault is excluded from this warranty or the warranty has expired.

2. Duration and Area of Cover
Cover starts at handover and ends after three calendar months or 3,000 miles driven from the recorded handover mileage, whichever occurs first. The mileage expiry is the handover odometer reading plus 3,000 miles. Record both expiry details above. Cover applies to breakdowns and repairs in the United Kingdom. There is no customer excess. These limits apply only to this additional warranty and do not restrict your statutory rights.
3. What is Covered
We cover the reasonable cost of parts and labour needed to repair a mechanical or electrical breakdown of the components listed below during the warranty period, subject to these terms. Breakdown means a component stops performing its normal function because of a mechanical or electrical fault, rather than routine servicing or ordinary wear.
Engine: Internal lubricated components, including crankshaft, bearings, pistons, connecting rods, camshaft, valves and oil pump; timing chain and tensioner; cylinder head gasket. Engine block and cylinder head are covered where damaged by a covered component failure.
Transmission: Internal components of the manual or automatic gearbox, including gears, shafts and bearings; automatic transmission torque converter; internal differential components.
Other components: Turbocharger, engine water pump, alternator and starter motor. Necessary gaskets, seals, oil, coolant and filters are included when required as part of an approved covered repair. Standalone oil leaks are excluded.
4. What This Additional Warranty Does Not Cover
Components not listed in section 3 are excluded from this additional warranty. This includes the clutch assembly and flywheel, brakes, tyres, wheels, suspension, steering, battery, exhaust and catalytic converter, DPF, EGR valve, injectors, fuel pumps, sensors, air conditioning, infotainment, bodywork, paintwork, glass, trim and convertible roof systems.
Routine maintenance and service items are excluded, including adjustments, cleaning, filters, spark plugs, bulbs, wiper blades, drive belts and timing belts. Fluids and filters needed for an approved repair are covered as stated in section 3.
We do not cover ordinary wear and gradual deterioration consistent with the vehicle's age and mileage, or cosmetic defects. A breakdown will not be rejected solely because the vehicle or component is old; we will consider the cause and evidence.
Damage caused by accidents, misuse, incorrect fuel, racing, overloading or an unauthorised modification is excluded. Failure to maintain the vehicle, or continuing to drive after a serious warning, excludes only damage caused or made worse by that action. Unrelated covered faults remain covered.
Specific defects clearly disclosed to you in writing before purchase are excluded only to the extent described in that disclosure. This does not exclude unrelated failures or remove any legal duty to sell a roadworthy vehicle.
Recovery, hire cars, travel, accommodation and loss of earnings are not benefits under this additional warranty. These exclusions do not restrict any entitlement to recover reasonable costs or other remedies under applicable law.
5. Looking After Your Vehicle
Follow the manufacturer's service schedule and use the specified oil and fluids. Keep records of servicing performed during your ownership. Check oil and coolant levels regularly and respond to warning lights. We will not reject a claim simply because earlier service records are unavailable or you used an independent garage; any maintenance-related refusal must relate to the cause of the failure.
6. If a Fault Develops
- Stop driving if the vehicle is unsafe, overheating, losing oil pressure or showing symptoms that could cause further damage. Arrange safe recovery where needed.
- Contact Vantis Motor Group Ltd on 07437 989733 as soon as reasonably possible. Give your registration, current mileage, symptoms and when the fault first appeared. Keep copies of messages and any reports.
- Bring the vehicle for inspection: For a claim under this additional warranty, contact us first and bring the vehicle to the Vantis Motor Group Ltd premises at the address in section 1, by prior arrangement. We will take responsibility for inspection and organising diagnosis and repairs through the repair workshop we work with. Do not drive an unsafe vehicle; contact us to agree safe transport. Any transport costs payable by you must be explained and agreed in advance. These arrangements do not restrict statutory remedies or any legal entitlement to recover reasonable costs.
- Obtain our written approval before authorising dismantling or repairs elsewhere. A covered fault that occurs before either the time or mileage limit is reached remains eligible for assessment even if the agreed repair takes place after expiry. Report it as soon as reasonably possible, with its date and mileage.
7. Diagnosis and Repair Arrangements
We will manage the vehicle and arrange approved repairs through the repair workshop we work with, within a reasonable time taking account of the fault and parts availability. We will explain the next steps promptly and will not unreasonably withhold approval for a covered repair.
For covered repairs, we pay the agreed parts, labour and necessary diagnostic costs, including applicable VAT. There is no hourly labour cap or per-claim financial cap stated in this warranty. You will not be asked to pay a contribution towards an approved covered repair.
If diagnosis suggests the fault is excluded, we will explain the reason and consider your statutory rights separately. Any diagnostic or dismantling charge payable by you must be explained and agreed in advance.
Replacement parts may be new, reconditioned or suitable used parts of appropriate quality. Repairs must restore proper operation and safety. Replacement of the whole engine or gearbox is not automatic where a suitable repair can resolve the fault.
Unauthorised work is not automatically reimbursed under this warranty. If an urgent situation makes prior approval impractical, take only reasonable steps needed to protect safety or prevent further damage, keep invoices and evidence, and contact us as soon as possible. We will assess the circumstances fairly. This procedure does not limit your statutory remedies.
8. Your Legal Rights and Complaints
This warranty is an additional contractual promise, provided without an extra charge. It does not replace or restrict your statutory rights. Warranty exclusions and claim procedures do not determine whether you have a valid claim under consumer law. We will assess any such claim separately, and you do not have to claim solely under this warranty.
To raise a complaint, contact Vantis Motor Group Ltd using the telephone number or business address in section 1. State the vehicle registration, the issue and the outcome you are seeking. We will investigate and provide a reasoned response. If we cannot resolve the complaint, we will provide applicable information about alternative dispute resolution. Your right to seek independent advice or take court action is unaffected.
9. Receipt of Warranty Terms
We will make these terms available before purchase and provide you with a copy at handover. Signing below acknowledges receipt only. It does not waive any legal rights or confirm that the vehicle has no hidden defects.
